2nd Tamworth Textile Triennial

Curated by Cecilia Heffer

22 August to 5 October 2015

The Tamworth Textile Triennial has developed its reputation as the most distinguished recurring textile exhibition in Australia. The history of textiles is long and complicated with many parallel streams and variations. Cultural, material and technological differences have lead to the present field of new ideas, materials, technologies and applications in contemporary textiles.

The 2nd Tamworth Textile Triennial will showcase current practice from artists around Australia who continue this history of dynamic development and the ever increasing rate of change in the discipline. It will present the vibrancy of contemporary Australian textiles, exploring the forces that drive our most innovative and accomplished practitioners.
